MODERN DANCE LESSONS

Pupils from all classes are being put through their paces these weeks  ‘Operation  Transformation in Action’.  They are learning various dance moves to popular songs and getting fit in a ‘fun’ way.  Maybe one of our pupils will be a future contestant in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the years ahead!

Visit to U.L – Cork Pops Orchestra

This years concert was based on the theme – Rhythm – paying particular attention to the percussion instruments in the orchestra.  The pupils enjoyed the concert thoroughly and sang along to the popular songs ‘Two Little Birds’, ‘Don’t worry be Happy’ and ‘We are the Champions’.

SCIENCE WEEK

During the week pupils enjoyed experiencing many science experiments in forces- pull and push, looking at buoyancy- sink or float and the travel of sound along a piece of twine.  they were amazed to find out that this experiment lead the way to the invention of the first telephone.
