Pupils were thrilled to be starting golf lessons again. They enjoyed learning many skills – hand eye co-ordination drills, proper grip of golf club, correct position of feet when striking a ball towards a target. Great pleasure was enjoyed when they hit the target! Some pupils are turning out to be enthusiastic golfers.
Pupils from the school participated in a hurling blitz hosted by the Abbey C.B.S.in Tipperary town. They played four matches during the day. They thoroughly enjoyed the games and played their hearts out. They were exhausted at the end of the day and it was a silent bus journey home!
Pupils participated in various competitions on Sunday in Lattin GAA Hall. They partook in the ballad, solo singing, instrumental and quiz sections of Scór. Pupils from Junior infants to 5th class are being put through their paces – ‘Operation Transformation in Action’ They are learning various Latin moves to popular songs and getting aerobically fit in a ‘fun’ way. Perhaps we will have a future contestant in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the years ahead!
